The Sims 4 released a major update on November 4, 2025, and this likely broke your mods or reset your settings. Every time The Sims 4 updates (like patch 1.119), it automatically turns off all mods.
Follow these steps to get WickedWhims working again.
1. Re-Enable Script Mods (Most Common Fix)
When the game updates, it turns off all mods by default.
Open The Sims 4.
Go to Game Options > Other.
Turn on “Enable Custom Content and Mods.”
Turn on “Script Mods Allowed” (this is required for WickedWhims).
Click Apply Changes and restart the game.
2. Update WickedWhims to Version v185
If you use an old version of WickedWhims, it will not work with the November update.
Check your version. You must use WickedWhims v185, which works with the November 4 patch.
Delete your old WickedWhimsMod folder completely.
Download the fresh v185 file from the official Turbodriver website.
Do not overwrite the old files. Always delete the old folder first.
3. Delete the “localthumbcache” File
Old game data can clash with new updates.
Go to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.
Find the file called localthumbcache.package.
Delete it. The game will create a new one automatically.
4. Check Your Mod Folder Location (Fix “Script Call Failed” Error)
If you see a “Script Call Failed” error, your mod is likely in the wrong folder.
Correct Path:
Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 / Mods / WickedWhimsMod
Wrong Path:
Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 / Mods / AnyFolder / WickedWhims / WickedWhimsMod
The .ts4script file must be only one folder deep inside the Mods folder. If it is deeper, the game will not load it.
5. Check for Mod Conflicts
If the mod still does not work, another mod may be blocking it.
MCCC (MC Command Center):
If you use MCCC, make sure you update it to version 2025.6.0 or later. An outdated MCCC often breaks script mods like WickedWhims.
